When we talk about free public records, the word ‘free’ may mean two things. On the first context of free, it would simply mean that public records, due to the fact that is intended for public access is not restricted to anyone who wants to obtain it whether with or without payment. On the other context, free means that the public records are acquirable without paying anything. They can provide you with the basic information when you try to do a name search but when it comes to the public records, you will be asked to pay for a certain amount to gain access. It is because these sites are specializing in storing, updating, and retrieving a complete set of public records which required an investment on their part just to help people for their searches.
Even though there are no sites which provide a complete set of free public records, there can be ways on how you can gather public records for free by using the Internet. Public records are usually obtainable from different government offices in your area. Instead of going out, you can just sit in front of your computer and try to find the web sites of these offices and try to make a request online. If unsuccessful, you can also use search engines such as Yahoo and Google in finding free public records of a certain person. You can search information about a person by typing either his name of phone number on the search bar and you will be presented lots of results where you might find certain information that you need.
